“Equal Vows”  art exhibition featuring Jewish decorated marriage contracts created for same-sex couples. It marks the first time ever that such ketubot have been brought together in an art exhibition. The exhibit is dedicated to the memory of Faygele ben Miriam (aka John Singer), z”l, the Jewish civil rights activist who in 1971 petitioned the Washington state government to grant him the right to marry his partner, becoming one of the first to seek a same-sex marriage nationwide.
